Academy of Hawaiian Arts E-Newsletter | December 2006 : Vol. 1

Dear Academy Supporters,

Our hula sister, Janet Belton, asks for your help. A child very close to Janet and her family is diagnosed with leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant. Harrison is 2 years old and a brave young man fighting Acute Myelogenous Leukemia nearly half his life. The Academy of Hawaiian Arts (AHA) is a location for screening donors for a bone marrow match. The Asian American Donor Program (AADP) will manage and run a kiosk at AHA on Saturday, December 9th from 10:30-1:30pm.

If you are unable to attend the donor drive at AHA, then you can still help by requesting a free testing kit be mailed to your home. To request a free kit, call:
1-800-59-DONOR (1-800-593-6667) or visit www.aadp.org.

Harrison Please print the event flyer (PDF) and post it at your work, university, college, high school, church, synogogue...get the word out. Forward this email to your family and friends.

Also visit the website that supports Harrison: helpharrison.com.

Sincerely,

Danilo Manuel
President, Academy of Hawaiian Arts
